The workshop is designed to enhance your knowledge of the exquisite colourful work of the Rabari girls and the stitches they use including chain stitch, ladder stitch and shisha work. You will study the patterns created from their landscape and cultural heritage and apply these to your own work.
You will develop the skills of sisha work using mirrors from India, and the surrounding stitches of chain stitch, ladder stitch and herringbone.
At the end of the workshop you will have a Rabari style bag with a central shisha design surrounded by embroidered pattern work inspired by India.
